Startup Streams sells businesses on a non-exclusive basis to lower the barriers to entrepreneurship. Instead of you needing to pay $3500+ per store with exclusivity, we charge less than a tenth of this figure to reduce your financial risk which allows you to get into business online easier than needing to do everything yourself.

Some prefer Facebook Ads, Pinterest, or influencer marketing on Instagram... and two people rarely have the exact same marketing plan. Most people make their first sales quickly by selling to their friends and family or contacts they may have on LinkedIn and social media so aim to make your first sales this way too.
===
===
===
===
Although we have sold a number of the same store since, the first store we sold makes $700+ a month. Likewise, some buyers have bought two, three, four… stores from us because they are making profit from them. We can see that hundreds of our customers and members have active Shopify accounts, making money right now.
===
We encourage you to treat our businesses as a template to expand and improve upon. We have seen our customers do this by adding more products, building a blog to aid SEO (all stores come with a blog) or by adding any of the 1700+ available Shopify apps to aid conversions. You can create social media accounts, add as many products as you want to the store (digital, physical, subscriptions, courses, etc…) and can even setup an affiliate program to get others to do the marketing for you.
With specific regards to Keto, one of our most popular niches, a quick Google keyword search shows that up to 1 million people search for 'Keto' each month. Likewise, with the search terms 'Keto diet plan', ‘Ketosis', Keto bread', 'Keto breakfast', 'Keto meals' and up to 10 million people search for 'Keto diet' each and every month. These are just 7 search terms out of 728 Google has recognised about Keto. This is a rough estimate but it gives you an example of how large the market really is for the niches we chose to make stores for.
Start a business today for as little as $329 (Not $3500!)…

Success with any of our stores depend on a number of factors: Your past experience, your marketing budget (if any), ecommerce know-how, grit and determination to succeed are all important elements in the success equation.
Unfortunately, there are no guarantees in business but we see that those who successfully conquer these elements can make $700-$1000 a month, per store. Please note that these are examples and there is no assurance you will do as well as stated in any examples.
Jon Printers, from the US, is one the 1000+ entrepreneurs who has trusted Startup Streams to make money online. He makes $700+ a month with the Startup Streams Mental Strength Hacks business. This equates to $8400 in revenue per year - for only one of the many businesses available at Startup Streams. We asked him about his success.
Jon says, "The sales were generated with very minimal effort put towards ad spend. My greatest success has come from building a likeable Facebook page, adding content daily and maintaining social proof on the website…”
Jon has used a mix of organic and paid traffic to make regular sales to turnaround a reliable ROI equating to a +366% increase. Which marketing methods would you use to promote your business?
Join the 1000+ Startup Streams customers today…
You will have one or more digital ebooks to sell with master resell rights, as well as the exact Shopify business as seen on our demo store (on each product page).
We have designed for you a stunning website, written product pages, designed all images, optimised for mobile, created all collections, arranged the product fulfilment to be 100% automatic, designed a cohesive brand image and have everything ready and waiting to be set up on the Shopify platform for you within 24 hours.
Yes! When you own any Startup Streams business, you are in charge. You are the business owner. You can market your store as you want, invite members of ‘staff’ to your store to help you run your business, you can add Shopify apps… you can do whatever you want to your store in order to grow it. You can add as many products as you want to the store: Digital, physical, subscription, drop shipping etc…
Shopify is the ecommerce platform all of our Startup Streams businesses are built and managed on. We chose to exclusively partner with Shopify as we believe they are the best ecommerce platform to give you the greatest chances to succeed with selling online. As you may expect, StartupStreams.com is built on Shopify.
Shopify groups the best ecommerce management technologies into one singular platform as standard to manage all aspects of your business. What’s more, you can add any of the 7300+ available Shopify apps to add extra functionality to help with whatever you want to do with your store.
Holistically, Shopify supports your entire ecommerce ecosystem: It is global, cloud based, absorbs all superfluous complexity to make running a business as easy as possible, the platform is designed to grow with you and is the most integrated out-the-box solution.
We love Shopify and believe you will too.
Shopify boasts one of the best payment processors for any ecommerce platform available on the market today. If you have ever tried to create a store online using Wordpress, you know just how hard and complicated it can be to be able to take payments on your store and get paid.
Shopify payments comes integrated with your store as standard. All you need to do it activate it. You can then integrate your favourite payment providers to give your customers the ability to pay how they want to; PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Meta Pay to name a few.
Shopify payments is also trustworthy. It is PCI compliant and supports 3D secure checkouts. Shopify supports over $5 Billion in payments per year and has supported $200 Billion in payments total since its founding. Safe and efficient.
To make the buying and selling process fairer for everyone, our terms state that you can only sell the product on the store provided so you can’t sell on other marketplaces like Amazon unless you have edited the ebooks/products to the point where there is no plagiarism involved.
The main reasons for this policy is that the ebooks are already highly likely to be on Amazon, likely added by the original author and as Amazon doesn't allow duplicate content, is more of a policy to say that you won't be able to find digital products here which haven't already been listed on Amazon.
Please note that you can edit the ebooks and products as you wish, you just can’t use the images for purposes outside of your specific business activity as per the image licensing.
Yes, but our resell policy is that the website you sell must be live, have an active Shopify plan and have a connected domain name for no less than 4 months.
We are super-approachable so please let us know if you have any questions at all?

The process to take ownership of your business works like this:
Step 1. We shall make your store for you as soon as possible, within 24 hours of letting us know what you wish to call your store (you can choose by replying to the automated email sent to the email address you nominated at checkout).
Step 2. Once your store is completed, we will invite you to become a member of ‘staff’ on the Shopify store, again by email. The link is sent from your new Shopify store to become a member of the store’s team so please accept the invite so we may continue with the transfer. When you are a member of the ‘staff’, we can then allocate you as store owner. The email is from mailer@shopify.com and is titled “Create staff account”. You will need to create your own account password. There is no one single password as each party (you and us) has their own account for the store.
Please note that we do not upload or build our stores on existing Shopify stores. All store will be made brand new on new development stores. This is to guarantee that our stores will work as intended.
Step 3. When you accept the invite and let us know that you have access to your new store, we will then nominate you to become ‘store owner’. You will then need to action the 9x points below to properly launch your store.
===
Chose a Shopify plan:
When you follow the invite to become store owner, Shopify will immediately ask you to complete a form to get some basic info from you; phone number, address etc… and most importantly, payment details.
You can’t make any sales until you have added your card details. Shopify will charge $29 for the basic plan to use the platform a month and once you have done this you can start to advertise your new business!
The basic plan is more than suitable when you set up and make your first sales.
===
===
===
===
There are 9 additional steps you must action in order to finalise and become owner of the business. You can see our explainer YouTube video using this link here: https://youtu.be/Fwlfg5uOX8c.
You can also refer to the text instructions below:
NOTE: THE STEPS MUST BE DONE IN ORDER
*Note that Shopify regularly changes the location of certain pages inside the store admin to make the management process easier, so the instructions below may change over time. At the time of writing:
===
Please log in to your website and change:
1. DOMAIN REGISTRAR: Sales Channels > Domains. Here you can buy a new domain name or connect an existing domain from another domain provider.
2. CHANGE STORE ADDRESS: Settings > General > Store Address > Change to your own (you may also want to check the date and time settings and currency of choice too).
3. CHANGE ‘SHIPPING FROM’ LOCATION: Settings > Locations > Add location > Add your details then delete the existing address
4. TAXES: Settings > Taxes (For your benefit, you may want to check over this and decide how you will collect taxes).
5. POLICIES: Settings > Legal. You may also want to read over / edit the terms and privacy policies as well as decide whether you want a refund policy too (you will need this to be able to sell on Google). You can use the Shopify generic refund policy found in the policy section and adapt accordingly.
6. PAYMENT PROVIDER:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO STEP 2 BEFORE THIS STEP. YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOUR ADDRESS BEFORE ADDING A PAYMENT PROVIDER.
Settings > Payment providers. Select from the choice of payment providers to get paid. I personally recommend Shopify Payments (managed by Stripe) and PayPal. This is where you add your bank details to get paid every time you make a sale.
7. TEST SALE: To test everything is working properly and that you and the buyer get the relevant messages, I always reduce one of the product prices to $0.00 and make a test purchase. It may be a good idea for you to do the same to get familiar with the customer journey. Just remember to increase the price back to the original before you start marketing the store!
8. COLLABORATOR ACCESS: As default, as the store’s developer, we still have ‘collaborator access’ whereby we can access your store. You can revoke our access to your store: Settings > Accounts.
9. PASSWORD GATE: You will need to disable the password gate so that customers do not need to enter the password to the store - the password is currently ‘1234’. You can do this after you have selected a Shopify plan and you can simply go to: Online Store > Preferences > Disable Password.
That’s it! Time to market your store
We shall send the instructions and the above list to your email after purchase to act as a reminder when you buy a store, so you know exactly what to do when.
Although there is no rush to launch your store, most customers and members launch their store within an 30-60 mins.
If you have any questions or need further clarification, you can contact us directly at success@startupstreams.com

Drop shipping is a clever retail fulfilment method whereby you can sell physical goods which you don’t yet own. A customer basically pre-orders an item (usually without knowing, thinking you have the stock) and you make the order with a supplier on order in a country like China where the goods are made. The manufacturer then packs and ships the order to your customer on your behalf.
===
It’s a bit like someone paying you $10 to buy an item from the corner shop, you going down there to buy it for $6 and you keep the $4 profit. Only drop shipping is on a much grander scale.
What is the difference between drop shipping and Startup Streams digital product stores?
The difference between a drop shipping store and all Startup Streams stores is that all of our ready-to-grow businesses sell digital products, meaning that they have many advantages over the drop shipping market.
===
===
===
===
When you make any sales with your dropshipping business, you will need to process the order with your third party manufacturer every time you make a sale. But with Startup Streams store for instance, you don’t need to fulfil any order when making a sale. The product will be sent 100% automatically to your customer and they just need to download it to their device - that is called ‘instant gratification’ and results in happy customers, likely to refer you to their friends.
===
With digital products, you’ll never run out of stock whereas dropshipping stock does. Can you imagine if your third party has missed updating the inventory? It could be a real problem when it comes to the order that you have already taken payment for! This will never happen with digital products. You will have invite copies of each ebook to sell.
Digital products don’t need any delivery fulfilment as the buyer simply downloads through a link that you provide for them. This is done automatically with all Startup Streams stores and it means it is a hassle free form of delivery, without cost, and makes for a satisfied buyer as they are not having to wait a long time for the products to arrive - it is all automatic and instant.
The worst thing to happen with drop shipping is when a customer's product is damaged during the delivery process. Another common complaint is the lack of quality control from the third party manufacturer and the customer will complain and merit a refund (doubly so if they have had to wait 30 days to receive it from China in the first place). Digital products don’t get damaged, nor take any time to arrive. Easy.
With digital products, there are no hassles coming from the customer asking “Why hasn’t my product arrived yet?”. You don’t need to track ay shipment across the world nor deal with international borders or taxes. Digital products are instantly sent to anyone with an internet connection anywhere in the world with the click of a button.
Let’s put ourselves in the shoes of a customer: How would you feel if you see a poorly written product description which has been copied and pasted from Ali-Express? You would think that the seller isn’t enthusiastic about what they are selling, probably doesn’t even know what they are selling and you’d probably think it is a scam, right? With our stores, we put effort into constructing websites around stories and flow to encourage the customer to read on. We provide product descriptions to aid your buyers with relevant information, whilst building rapport at the same time. Product descriptions sell!
The competition for selling products on Startup Streams stores is far less than the competition of those selling popular products from a third party dropshipping supplier such as on Ali-Express. We find that entrepreneurs who buy our Startup Streams stores do so with specific digital marketing skills in mind. This means that there are rarely two Startup Streams stores using the exact digital marketing strategies. You may find that because of the competition of selling popular dropshipping products that there would be many other digital marketers using the same tactics for the same products, increasing the competition to sell the same items.
Startup Streams’s digital product stores allow you to put in a one-time investment into a website with a product(s) to sell, and you can sell said product hundreds, if not thousands of times. Each time you do, you can keep all profits from the sale. This is far better than with drop shipping as you’d need to spend the majority of your revenue on paying for stock. With digital products, you have all 100% of the product’s revenue to dive into with your marketing costs in order to make a profitable sale. This makes selling digital products more flexible in marketing and more versatile vs dropshipping products, which can have between 50% - 2% profit margins depending on a product's competitiveness.
Being an entrepreneur is tough. Being a serial entrepreneur is tougher. The amount of sales, customer queries, emails to answer, returns, marketing campaigns and all other matters increase exponentially with each additional business added to your portfolio. With digital stores, the only real time addition to your busy seclude would be marketing. However, if you have an existing campaign in place, relating to our niches provided, it would be very easy to plug any Startup Streams store into your current ecosystem as we have greatly decreased the amount of customer relations your would need to manage.
Borderless commerce, daily paydays, zero stock, 100% automatic fulfilment and negligible customer contact - the many benefits of selling digital products online.
As we’ve explored, drop shipping isn’t a perfect stress-free way to build a successful online business. We know that hard work is always required to start any business but we believe that our Startup Streams stores are more efficient to manage than a drop shipping store giving you an advantage to increase your success in online ecommerce…

===
This is the story and strategy of how we, Startup Streams, came up with over a thousand business names - including our own - and what you can do to find the perfect name for your business. We sell pre-made, ready-to-grow businesses for sale and each business needs a name. We come up with 10x usable business names a day and have a 10x step framework to help us achieve this.
I understand that one of the most important and possibly the most difficult steps in starting a business is choosing a company name. Arguably, it could make or break your business.
Think about these top brands; Apple, Google, Facebook, Coke-Cola, Austin Martin, Virgin… each one resonates with you in a different way. However, these names differ; some names here are short and sweet, others are made-up words… how do you pick an awesome name for your own business which won’t suck? Let's find out…
===
Choosing a name that is too narrow can cause problems in the future. Imagine what would have happened if Jack Ma had named Ali Baba as “Buy shoes online” – that wouldn’t have worked out well because of the growth of his multinational business into different sectors. So please avoid titles like 'Pink Dresses', 'Mobile Gadgets'. 'London Jams' and 'Chicken Nuggets'. You don't want to limit your business to specific products or locations, just because your name says so.
Our business name: As you know, Startup Streams specialises in creating new businesses for sale. All stores currently include digital products to sell with master resell rights - the majority of products are ebooks. We considered having the word ‘ebook’ in the company name, but knew this would limit us down the line when we intend to expand our current offering.
===
===
===
===
Up to a quarter of your business promotion could be done by word of mouth – so go easy when choosing the right name. Pick out a list of names that are easy to spell and pronounce – make sure it resonates with your business. Don't make it complicated.
Lesson learned: I was involved in the early days with a startup called Olympvs which was set up by my brother. The company sells athletic fit jeans. The name, which is pronounced ‘olympus’ aims to relate to Mt.Olympus in Greece, the home of the greek gods. A quadriga was chosen as the logo icon for the company to solidify the link to the greek gods and the sense of being a “higher-level human” which we wanted our customers to feel when wearing our jeans. Guys buying our jeans have huge thigh muscles and spend most of the day in the gym, playing rugby, rowing or cycling so had impressive physiques they wanted to show off. This name and branding resonates well, as intended, but even though spelling the company name as Olympvs (which is great for SEO purposes), people are still mispronouncing it today. Maybe we should have picked something easier to pronounce and spell? Don’t make the same mistake.
===
Ideally, you want your company name to reflect meaningful and positive information about your business. Can people immediately understand your business? Nonsense names like "Google" and "Yahoo" are attractive because they are catchy, but such names cause you to spend more money on branding and awareness. Your mission, purpose and story have a say in your business name. Think hard about what is that short attractive word that delivers the meaning for your business and doesn't need mass marketing and global brand awareness to be a household name.
Our business name: For us, Startup Streams was an obvious win. I would like to think that it says what we do "on the tin" and can convey that we 1. Are involved with providing services for the startup community and 2. ‘Streams’ relates to revenue streams. Startup revenue streams = Startup Streams. I would also like to think that it expresses that multiple startup businesses are available to purchase from us - which they are.
Search USPTO.gov (US) to see if you can get a trademark or service mark for your name, this can be all the help you need at this point. Double check that your name of choice is legally available. Just because the domain name is available, doesn’t mean that someone else has the legal right to it.
Lesson learned: Early on in running Startup Streams, I inappropriately named one of our businesses for sale, which sells digital social greetings cards, as 'InstagramCards.com'. Totally forgetting that Instagram is of course a trademarked name, Instagram's legal team discovered my domain name purchase which was linked to a Shopify store within 24 hours of the store going live. The legal team contacted Shopify who removed the store and shut it down immediately, without even contacting me first to request that I change the name. The business was a write-off. But it was a good job that a customer hadn't bough the store yet. Whoops!
There are several sites online that can help you to generate business ideas: VisualThesaurus.com and Shopify Business Name Generator to name a few. I would however use the suggestions from the websites as inspiration for you to come up with something better, as the results should be taken with a pinch of salt. I personally feel that a business name is too important to be left to a free online app to make one for you, but it can be a good starting point if you are really struggling.
Everything looks good when it is written. Make sure you say the name out loud and see how it feels. Ask people around you if they can easily pronounce it upon hearing. Then ask them what they think it means. If they struggle to pronounce it (we would have been told that Olympvs isn’t obviously pronounced as Olympus if we asked more people), then it’s time to go back to the drawing board.
Pro tip: Use a mixture of asking people to write down your business name upon hearing it (this will help gauge how well referrals will find you in search), and asking others to pronounce it after you have written it down. If both groups say and write it the same way, you are onto a winner.
What I mean by this is that you should make sure that your business name, especially if original and quirky, doesn’t have an ulterior meaning. Think about when Facebook officially changed its name to Meta, and the backlash it got from Israel. The word ‘Meta’ means ‘dead’ in Hebrew.
An accidental name affiliation: Corona beer was the butt of the joke for many memes over the period of the pandemic. One Instagram follower posted that Corona should change their name to something with fewer negative affiliations, "like Ebola”. Of course, when Corona was established in 1925, it had no idea that a worldwide deadly pandemic would have the same name almost 100 years later. But although a rise in Google searches did show people searching for “beer virus” and “corona beer virus”, sales actually rose by 13% in 2020. It seems there really is no such thing as bad press?
You are the ultimate decider for your business name, so say the name and ask yourself if this really stands for everything you have dreamt your business could be – if it doesn’t make you happy then follow your heart to make any changes.
Our business name: I am personally pretty chuffed with the name Startup Streams, and as you will be blasting your new business name all over social media, on your website, your business cards, your email signature… it is important you have a name you can personally get behind and be happy to be your business’s number one fan. You are brand ambassador numero uno.
Even in 2022, it is highly recommended that you have the company's domain name as a ".com" instead of using alternative names such as .net, .org, .biz, and other possible domain extensions. That said, .io and .co have become far more common and accepted as domain extensions with status.
Customers tend to associate .com domains with a more mature business. Go to GoDaddy or similar and see if you are lucky. There are chances that someone will already have the .com name you want, but many domain owners are willing to sell their name for a reasonable price – so get on and see what you can get.
How we do it: When we come up with business names for our Startup Streams members, we focus our searches around a .com domain name which has no more than 3x words - all of which are main focus keywords for their chosen niche to aid with SEO whilst clearly telling their future customers what they're all about. As an example, we may call / have called our Premium Diet Guides businesses as 'DietDecider.com', 'SelectDietPlan.com' and 'PickDietPlan.com' - easy to remember, say and spell.
If you have done everything to find the perfect business name – don’t wait. As soon as you have received the feedback, made the changes, and you're happy with the outcome – set the name, start your business and watch it grow.
Lesson learned: We have seen a few times in the past 2 years when we have setup a new Startup Streams store for one of our members and within the 24 hours of a member telling us what business name they wish to use and whilst waiting for us to make the store for them, someone else has bought the domain name they wanted - almost unbelievable! If you find an awesome business name, my advice is to buy it. Domain names are relatively cheap and if you don’t end up using it, you can sell it on by using domain name selling platforms.
Our logo: After you have the name, the next stop is the logo. For Startup Streams, we manage to enforce our business name. You will see a large ’S’ for Startup Streams, the ’S’ is shaped as a stream and the logo is as a triangle pointing up: Start - Up Streams = Startup Streams.
Here are a list of names I have come up with over the past 20 years for my own businesses, since starting my first business (age 12) outside of the Startup Streams ecosystem which may help with ideas of your own:
Are you a Startup Streams member and are still not sure about what to call your business?
So, how is you decision making going? Have we managed to make you change your mind or have we reinforced your original thoughts about what you wish to call your business? If you are still struggling, please get in contact with customer success and we’d be happy to help out: success@startupstreams.com

This is a question we get asked all too often and is one which is difficult to answer. When you want to know which website to startup, what are you actually asking?
All of our stores contain digital products to sell, all with 100% profit margins, so it isn’t about the product margin as much as it is about how you go about marketing it. As an example, one Startup Streams store owner started a store and made 800 sales in the first 2 weeks - selling each ebook for $29 each! Of course, we could say that niche was the most popular at the time, but it’d of course be unfair to not mention that he already had an Instagram following in place to sell to.
===
At the time of writing, and as a Shopify Partner, we can see that we have hundreds of stores active on Shopify - meaning that our active stores are all at least being profitable beyond the $29 / month Shopify plan fee and marketing costs to make sales in the first place in order to still be in business. The stores which are currently active are inclusive of every single niche available at Startup Streams today. Some of our stores are still going strongly since we first started out in August 2019.
Consider what audiences you have available to you, or in your network, and go about making money that way - don’t find a business, then think about marketing… find an audience, then find the Startup Streams business which best supports and provides for that audience.
===
===
===
===
This question is easier to answer - we can just look at our download figures! Whether starting a popular store is a good thing is open to debate. On one hand you could argue that if you start a popular business, it means there is a big target audience but lots of stores targeting these customers. Equally you could argue there would be more ‘low hanging fruit’ in the less popular niches but the target audience would be smaller. What do you think?
Our most popular stores are for the marketing, make money online and Keto diet niche.

Think of it a bit like a diet. Most people not only fail a diet, but end up putting on more weight than when they started. Going from fad diet to fad diet isn’t a recommended way to live. There are no shortcuts to living healthier and getting that ‘dream’ body you may aspire for. It would be recommended to make incremental changes which you’d be able to implement for a year, 5 years… for the rest of your life. What one thing can you happily do to impact a healthy lifestyle daily? The same thinking goes for business if you think you’ll struggle with motivation down the line.
Which business will you be excited to see succeed daily, ideally for the rest of your life (which niche would you not get bored of)? You would be more emotionally invested in a business you have genuine interest in and therefore perhaps be more inclined to see it succeed.
A prime feature of Startup Streams is that you can start multiple businesses and run them at the same time. This means you may want to pick interlocking niches, or ‘Super Sets’ as we like to call them (a term coined by the fitness industry). Perhaps you are keen about fitness, so you can start a fitness store, CrossFit store, healthy eating store and weight loss store at the same time. As one store grows, the others grow with it as you’d be able to cross promote - the most likely people to buy from you in the world are those who already have.
When you have made a sale from one store, link them to your others to offer a greater selection of similar products which your customer may be interested in.
‘Super Sets’ = Interlocking niche examples:
Fitness: Fitness niche, CrossFit niche, healthy eating niche, weight loss niche
Healthy Eating: Healthy eating niche, Keto diet, Paleo diet, juicing, weight loss niche
Holistic living: Yoga and meditation, clean eating, self improvement, juicing, ecological
Starting a business: Blogging, branding, marketing, freelance, SEO
Celebrations: Birthday cards, Christmas, cocktails, wine
How can you leverage an audience which you already have access to? Perhaps you know of a social media influencer and you can invite them to join your Startup Streams team? This would be a great way to kickstart a new store! With Startup Streams, you can invite a co-founding team and use everyone’s strengths to the team’s advantage. One member of the team can be a project manager, one to look after customer care, another to manage marketing etc… and can you think of someone you can invite to your store with a pre-existing target audience you can leverage within one of the Startup Streams niches? Invite them to your store.
Our advise is this… Which niche do you already have a genuine interest in? Which niche caught your eye first?
Of course, the most successful owners of Startup Streams stores are those who already have a target audience in place, but this may not be the case for you. For the majority of our customers, they start from scratch and that is exactly what we’re about. We therefore state it is best to go with a niche you already know personally. This has a some great advantages:
Maybe you have a dog at home? Start with the dog niche. Maybe you love running? Go with the fitness niche. Maybe you love to get out in your garden over the summer? Startup a gardening niche store.

Selling to your friends and family is super quick and easy to do as it doesn’t cost anything to message them and ask if they’re interested in buying from you. What’s more, they may be more than happy to help you out with your new business and they are likely to be your first advocates - they can help spread the message of your new business and help you sell more. You can tap into a larger audience of your friend’s friends. With ‘seven degrees of separation’, this tactic may be more beneficial than you immediately may think.

Before buying a business, why not ask your friends (and ask them to ask their friends) if they would buy from you now, in the form of pre-orders (you can easily send invoices using PayPal or ask for a quick money app transfer if you have an account) and you can make money before even having anything to sell. This will also help gauge how many people are interested in what you want to sell online.

This process also provides you the opportunity to ask your target audience direct questions, such as what do they want out of your product? What is the main pain point you will be wanting to address?
Furthermore, you can then expand into your network of colleges, friends, fans and social media followers and ask if they would buy what you wish to sell. Make pre-orders to gauge the market, then work on building your business, set to launch.

We find that successful Startup Streams members make their first sales this way, then use what funds they raise to re-invest into their first ad campaigns such as Facebook Ads, Google ads or increasingly popular TikTok ads.
Who do you know who would be interested in buying what you intend to sell?
Sell them the solution…
